Nokia Working on Charge-less Mobile Phone

Saturday, 15 February 2014 - 0 Comments

In order to attain charger less world, Nokia is working on a mobile phone that would be charged wirelessly through ambient radio signals that are available in atmosphere.
Markku Rouvala, a researcher from the Nokia Research Centre, in Cambridge, U.K told MIT’s Technology Review that ambient electromagnetic radiation – emitted from Wi-Fi transmitters, cell- phone antennas, TV masts, and other sources – could be converted into enough electrical current to keep a battery topped up The team at Cambridge is working on a prototype device that could harvest up to 50 milliwatts of power from the electromagnetic soup – which is sufficient to trickle charge a switched off phone. Current versions can scavenge 3 to 5 milliwatts.
To increase the amount of power that can be harvested, Nokia is focusing on harvesting many different frequencies. “It needs a wideband receiver,” says Rouvala, to capture signals from between 500 megahertz and 10 gigahertz–a range that encompasses many different radio communication signals.” MIT noted that historically, energy- harvesting technologies have only been found in niche markets, powering wireless sensors and RFID tags in particular. If Nokia’s claims stand up, then it could push energy harvesting into mainstream consumer devices. Rouvala said that he envisaged commercial products could be launched in three to four years time.

Nokia Secretly Working on Android KitKat-Powered Normandy Smartphone

Wednesday, 8 January 2014 - 0 Comments

Hello Guys as we’ve seen leaks and heard rumors that Nokia was working on an Android-powered
device. Now, pictures of this rumored
device, believed to be codenamed
“Normandy,” have surfaced.
So what do we know about this super
secret Android-powered Nokia device?
Quite a bit—if the rumors are to be
believed, that is.
Thanks to the folks over at NPU , we
now have alleged screenshots of the
device, which appears to be
codenamed Nokia A110. Perhaps the A
in the model number stands for
Android, indicating the possibility of a
whole line of Android devices in the
future.
Delving deeper, we can see that the
device in this screenshot is running
Android 4.4.1 atop Linux Kernel 3.4.0.
The display on this device appears to
be 854×480, with rumors stating a 4″
size, which would equate to
approximately 233 PPI. The camera is
5 MP, and the device runs an unknown
Qualcomm Snapdragon-based
processor.
While the alleged specs aren’t quite
Earth shattering, While these are just
rumors, and screenshots are easy
enough to doctor, we’re excited at the
possibility of one day perhaps seeing a
Nokia-built Android device.
What are your thoughts about all this?
Would you buy a Nokia Android
device? Let us know your thoughts in
the comments below!

#### Full Description #####

##### User Interface ####

Nokia and Microsoft have now come
together to give the new phablet a
retooled version of Window Phone 8
Amber OS. This time around, the OS
has been tweaked for the larger
screen, and the most notable
difference is the addition of a third
column to the Live Tile home screen.
The new three columned UI is aimed
at devices that comes with 5-inch or
bigger screens with a resolution of
1,920x1080 pixels, meaning that
current Windows Phone 8 users
might not see the biggest changed
that the latest update has in store.
The OS has been tweaked a bit to
look better for the eyes. The
company has now shrunk the fonts
by 83 percent for 6-inch screens.
The font size on handsets falling in
the 5-inch to the 5.9-inch range will
remain the same size, though. You
can also see more information being
displayed in certain apps like email,
which now comes with two preview
lines. New Lumia 1520 users can also
close apps by closing the X button
that now pops up in the multi-
tasking window. You can also get a
new Driving mode, which is an
enhancement that uses Bluetooth to
determine if you’re driving.

##### Cellular connectivity #####

The 1520 comes with support for all
usual suspects. Packed into the
device is support for 2G, 3G and 4G
LTE, although we don’t know the
exact bandwidths. The handset
makes use of a micro-SIM card, and
users will have the ability to surf the
web on HSPA+ speeds in India.

##### Display #####

The highlight of the Lumia 1520 is
definitely the massive 6-inch
capacitive display with full HD
resolution. The 1080x1920 pixel
resolution results in a pixel density
of 267ppi, which is pretty good
overall. The company has taken a lot
of effort in reducing screen
reflectance with a polarised filter
called ClearBlack Display. This is an
effort to cut down reading glare in
direct sunlight and also to help keep
light bounce back to a minimum
indoors.

###### Form factor #####

At the 209g, the Lumia 1520
definitely seems lighter than the
rest, and easily beats the likes of
the HTC One Max, the Samsung
Galaxy Note 3 or the Sony Xperia Z
Ultra in terms of weight. This is
surprising, especially when you
consider the display size. The
handset measures
162.8x85.4x8.7mm, which may feel
a bit big for some users.
In terms of design, the new phablet
definitely looks slimmer than many
other devices in the same category.
It seems pretty clear that Nokia has
worked hard to keep the new device
as proportionate as possible. This
approach has also extended to the
rear of the phablet. While the device
comes with a good sized camera, the
mount only protrudes a little from
the back, and comes with a sloped-
up lip. The company is rolling out the
device in a range of colours, including
glossy red, matte black, matte white
and yellow.

##### Wi-Fi #####

The 1520 gets most of the features
when it comes to wireless
connectivity. Apart from Wi-Fi 802.11
a/b/g/n as well as dual-band, the
device also comes with DLNA and
Wi-Fi hotspot support, which is too
be expected, looking at the current
smartphone trends.

##### Chipset and graphics #####

One of the most noteworthy parts of
this phablet is the quad-core
processor that it runs on, the first of
its kind from Nokia and on the
Windows Phone platform as well.
The device comes with Qualcomm’s
latest Snapdragon 800 clocked at
2.2GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The hardware essentially put the
1520, processor-wise, in the same
league as Sony’s recent phablet
release, the Xperia Z Ultra.

###### Internal storage #####

The 1520 comes with 32GB of
internal memory, which can be
expanded by another 32GB via a
microSD card slot. The design for
the microSD card slot will now
ensure that you don’t need to open
up the rear panel to put in additional
memory. Right above the micro-SIM
card slot, you will now find the SD
card slot, which should be pretty
convenient for users. The 64GB total
memory should definitely be
sufficient for most users who want
to use the 6-inch screen for
watching videos on-the-go.

##### Cameras #######

Nokia has packed in a 20-megapixel
primary camera with the Lumia 1520.
The new device comes with Carl
Zeiss optics as well as the PureView
technology that the company has
been making a name for itself with.
The camera also comes with optical
image stabilisation as well as dual-
LED flash, a change from the xenon
flash seen in the recently launched
Lumia 1020. Also packed in is a BSI
sensor, a 2.4mm aperture, 16:9
aspect ratio and 26mm focal length.
The 1520 is also going to come with
a new Nokia Camera app, which
roughly looks like the Nokia Pro cam
app seen in the 1020, with onscreen
controls that can help to control
everything down to the exposure
ratings and so on. The camera app
on the 1520 also comes with a
shortcut to the Nokia Smart Cam
app. This basically means that the
user can tap an onscreen button to
quickly get to the camera’s tools,
including group photos as well as
some action modes. The phablet also
comes with a front camera, although
there are no details about the same
yet.

###### Sensors #####

Like most other smartphones that
have been rolling out this year, the
1520 comes with an accelerometer, a
gyroscope, a proximity sensor as
well as a compass.

##### GPS ####

The new Nokia phablet comes with
GLONASS as well as assisted-GPS
for the user. Keeping in mind the
current smartphone trends, these
features have increasingly become a
must in high-end releases.

##### NFC #####

The1520 comes with NFC support, a
good call considering all the
peripherals that are making use of
NFC support like speakers and so
on.

#### Battery ####

The new device comes with a non-
removable 3400mAh battery. Given
the specs, the battery choice seems
to a healthy one. The company has
said that the device will give a
stand-by battery time of 780 hours
and up to 25 hours of talk time. Until
we get our hands on the device,
though, it will be tough to validate
these claims.

####### The Bottom Line ######

The Lumia 1520 definitely comes
with some top-of-the-line features.
And Nokia is selling it like a premium
device. The official launch price of
the device has been set at $749 (Rs
46,190). Compared to the company’s
earlier smartphones, though, the
1520 is definitely a whooper, and the
dimensions suggest that this will be
one slim gadget. The massive
screen, latest processor as well as
the camera specifications makes the
new phablet one of the most
advanced Windows Phones we have
seen so far. The device could also
currently be one of Nokia’s most
expensive offerings to the market.
The device scores well against other
phablets in terms of design. Phones
with big displays are currently doing
pretty well, especially in the Indian
market, so it makes sense for Nokia
to take its first step into this arena.
While the device scores will in terms
of hardware, it is the operating
system that may cause some issues
for the sales of the device. While
most other phablet devices in the
market come with the ever-popular
Android, only time can tell the
Windows Phone-powered Lumia
1520 will shape up against the
competition.

22 Hidden Features in iOS7...

Monday, 16 December 2013 - 0 Comments

#### Top 22 Hidden iOS 7 Features
That You Likely Don’t Know
About.#######

Today, we’re going to go through some of the
most lesser known features and tips
which we believe you should try right
now.

All set? Let’s begin.

1. Use Safari To See Tweets With
Links / URLs

Want to quickly see all the tweets in
your timeline with URLs / links in
them? Simply launch Safari, press the
bookmarks button – the one that
looks like an open book, obviously –
then press the @ button on top. Boom!
All the tweets with links in one place.
You should be signed in to your Twitter
account in Settings > Twitter in
order for this feature to work.

2. Turn Parallax On / Off

Don’t like the new iOS 7 Parallax
effect on wallpapers – or 3D
wallpapers as we would like to call
them? Fear that it might be draining
your battery? Simply turn it off. Go to
Settings > General > Accessibility
> Reduce Motion and turn it on or
off according to your liking.

3. Enable Motion Sensing
Controls

iOS 7 lets you launch Siri or press the
Home button by simply tilting your
head, or pull down Notification Center
by tilting your head to the left. Sounds
epic? Indeed it does. Head over to
Settings > General > Accessibility
> Switch Control to turn it on. Now
go to Switches and set up switches
to perform different actions.

4. Enable / Disable Bold Text or
Change Font Size System-wide

Don’t like iOS 7’s new thin font size?
Bold it up! Head over to Settings >
General > Accessibility > and
enable Bold Text . Changing the
system wide font size is as easy as
pie, too. Head over to Settings >
General > Text Size and adjust the
font size to your liking.

5. See Your Frequently Visited
Places On A Map

This feature lets you see on a map
which places you have been visiting.
Might be concerning for some, but
here’s how you can find out: go to
Settings > Privacy > Location
Services > System Services >
Frequent Locations . I would
suggest keeping this one off for
obvious reasons.

6. Block Callers and Unwanted
Messages

This feature is a gem to use. Open the
contact which might be bugging you,
scroll all the way down in contact
details and tap Block this Caller.
That’s it. The contact will never be
able to bug you again. If you want to
manage blocked messages, then head
over to Settings > Messages >
Blocked . This also applies to
FaceTime and iMessages.

7. Show Timestamps In
Messages App

Open a conversation thread, and
swipe from right to left while holding
your finger down on the screen. You
will see the timestamps of all your
sent and received messages.

8. Use Siri To Enable / Disable
System Toggles

Siri shed its beta tag along with the
release of iOS 7, and can do a lot
more than just telling you the weather,
calling a certain contact, settings
reminders etc. Press and hold the
Home button to launch Siri and say –
for example – ‘Turn Wi-Fi on’ and Siri
will turn on Wi-Fi for you. Same works
for Bluetooth and other system
toggles.

9. Use Swipe Gesture To Go Back
One Screen

In iOS 7, you can simply use swipe
gestures to go back a screen, rather
than pressing that pesky back button
on the display. In Messages for
instance, if you’re in a thread, simply
swipe from the left corner towards the
right and you’ll be taken to the main
Messages window. This works pretty
much throughout iOS 7, like Mail,
Settings, Contacts etc.

10. Take Square Photos Using
Camera App

Regular photos aren’t cutting the
mustard for you? The native Camera
app in iOS 7 now lets you take square
photos. Launch the Camera app, and
swipe to the right to take photos in
square proportions. You can use the
same swiping gesture to go through
Panorama and Video modes.

11. Update App Content In The
Background

Use an app frequently but don’t like to
refresh every time you launch it? iOS
7 has you covered. Go to Settings >
General > Background App
Refresh and enable all the apps you
wish to update themselves in the
background. Note: this feature really
takes a toll on battery, therefore
select the apps which are most
relevant for you to be updated.

12. Use Panorama Photos As
Lock Screen Wallpaper For Added
Effect

Use a panorama photo as your lock
screen wallpaper which you’ve taken
with your device’s camera for a cool
spinning effect. Enable Parallax mode
for this one which we’ve outlined in
feature # 2.

13. Bubble Level In Compass App

The native Compass app in iOS 7 is
more than a direction telling
companion. Swipe to the right after
calibrating the compass to reveal a
new screen that lets you access and
use a bubble level.

14. Enable / Disable Control
Center In Lock Screen Or Apps

Don’t want anyone else, or yourself
mistakenly launching Control Center
on the lock screen or running apps?
Why not disable it? Go to Settings >
Control Center and enable or
disable access to Control Center on
the lock screen or apps.

15. Turn Automatic App Updates
On / Off

iOS 7 updates your apps in the
background, saving you time and the
cumbersome process of launching the
App Store and performing manual
updates. You can turn automatic app
updates on / off by heading over to
Settings > iTunes & App Store and
turn on / off Updates in the
Automatic Downloads section.

16. Unlimited Apps In Folders

Folders in iOS 7 are like a black hole.
You keep on throwing apps inside
them and there’s no limit on how
many apps you can have inside one.

17. Enable / Disable Advertising
Tracking

Don’t want your iOS device to be
tracked for specific ads? Head over to
Settings > Privacy > Advertising
and disable Limit Ad Tracking.
We’ve heard reports occasionally that
this feature also saves battery life by
a fraction.

18. View All Received Media In
Messages App In One Place

Received a bunch of photos or videos
from someone in Messages app but
lost it in a mile long thread? iOS 7 now
lets you view your media all in one
place. Simply tap open the last
received photo / video, and press the
list view (the one with three dashes,
as shown in the screenshot) button.

29. Dynamic Wallpapers

iOS 7 supports dynamic wallpapers, in
short: animated wallpapers. Go to
Settings > Wallpapers &
Brightness > Choose Wallpaper >
Dynamic, and there you’ll see a
bunch of animated wallpapers which
respond to your device’s movement.

20. Change Gender Of Siri

Starting from iOS 7, you can actually
change the gender of Siri. Yes, that’s
right, if the female voice is not cutting
it for you then you can add a more
manly voice for voice feedback. Go to
Settings > General > Siri and
change Voice Gender to Male .

21. Edit Queries In Siri

Even after shedding its beta tag, Siri
is still far from perfect. It so happens
that Apple’s voice assistant is a hit or
miss when it comes to recognizing a
particular accent. For example, Siri
might not be able to differentiate
between ‘the sky’ or ‘this guy’ that
often. And starting from iOS 7, you
can actually edit your voice queries by
tapping the tap to edit button on
screen in the Siri UI, and fix them
using the on-screen keyboard. Sounds
pretty neat right?

22. Zoom Into Album Art In iOS
7 Music App

Cover Flow was shown the white flag
in iOS 7, and the new Music app
instead shows your music album art is
a neat tiled pattern in landscape mode.
Sounds cool and all, but did you know
that you can actually zoom in or out
your album art by simply using pinch
gestures? Try it!

What to do after rooting ? , Which apps should you use to Optimize your phone ?....

####### What To Do After Rooting
Your Android Smartphone ? Which apps Should you use For Better Performance Of your Android Smartphone ? #####

We have previously learned :-
-What is Rooting Of an Andriid Rooting ?.
-Universal Rooting Method. ( By using PC )

So , I hope You have rooted your phone.but what to do after that ?.  I think you should try these Fantastic Apps ....

Note :- You can download All these Apps from Play Store ....

let’s get started.

1.Install Superuser app.:-
A Superuser app is the app which asks you to grands or reject the root accessing permissions asked from any app. If you have followed the Universal Rooting Method( Posted previously ). then you’ll  be most likely to have a
superuser app.But I recommend the
ClockWorkMod’s Superuser app.It is
open source and has a beautiful Holo
UI with password protection and logs
too.

2.Titanium Backup :-
It's a must have app for every
android phone. You can backup all your
apps,contacts,messages,call logs etc
very easily. You can remove all the
bloatwares in Stock ROM.Also this
app makes it easier for people to
restore their apps and data whenever
they change ROMs.I suggest you get
the PRO version.

3.Root Explorer(Paid) or Solid
Explorer or ES file explorer or X-plore or any
other file manager which has access
to root.
This is a very useful app.You
can do a hell lot of modifications with
this.Like edit your game
progress,hosts file,build.prop etc.

4. Install Adaway to remove all the
annoying ads from the internet and
apps.
We all guys don't like annoying ads come inside app and stops our relation with the app. So , this app can remove  all your ads in just a click.
This edits your hosts file and
updates it with a list of ad servers.A
must have app!

5. SetCPU(Paid) or Performance
control(Free):-
This app is highly
useful. With this you can adjust your
CPU clock speed and change the
Governors and Schedulers.You can
overclock it too if your kernel supports
it.

6.Greenify :This is an excellent app to
increase the performance of your
phone.Unlike freezing your resource
consuming apps with Titanium
Backup,you can hibernate them easily
with Greenify.This won’t freeze or
uniNstall them.You can use those
greenified apps anytime by just
launching them.Be careful what you
greenify.
P.S:Don’t greenify Alarm clock apps or
chat apps like whatsapp etc.You won’t
recieve notifications if you do.

7.ROM Toolbox: This is a highly
customizable app.You can customize
the status bar icons,change boot
animations,edit the build.prop file
etc.Honestly its an all in one app.It
has got a root browser,ad
blocker,theme chooser and many
more.Before you modify
anything, make sure to have a backup
of current settings.

8. Terminal Emulator: As the name
suggests it emulates a linux
terminal.Almost all the commands
work here.Its a decent app.Check it
out!

9. Flashify: This is a very useful app to
flash custom ROMs,kernels
(boot.img ,zip files) directly from your
phone.(You can use the ClockWorkMod
recovery to do all these things instead)
.But its got a neat UI.

10.XPOSED Framework:-
By this You can customize your whole ROM
without flashing anything.The
framework is quite popular these days
and there are so many modules
available for download.You can enable
PIE controls on CyanogenMod,Change
permissions,DPI for each
app,customize status bar
transparency etc.Loads of stuff to
mess around with.

Thats it for now.Once you are familiar
with using your phone with root
access,Move on to the world of
Custom ROMs.There are so many
wonderful custom ROMs based on
Cyanogenmod , AOSP etc .. with which you can customize
your phone to your needs.I’ll post
about them in the future.
I hope you'll try these apps and will be familier with having root access ....

An introduction to Android Rooting ...

##### What is Rooting ? What are it's Benefits and Losses ? ######

Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets , and other devices running the Android mobile operating
system to attain privileged control
(known as "root access ") within Android's subsystem.

Rooting is often performed with the
goal of overcoming limitations that
carriers and hardware
manufacturers put on some devices,
resulting in the ability to alter or
replace system applications and
settings, run specialized apps that
require administrator-level
permissions, or perform other
operations that are otherwise
inaccessible to a normal Android
user. On Android, rooting can also
facilitate the complete removal and
replacement of the device's
operating system, usually with a
more recent release of its current
operating system.
As Android derives from the Linux
kernel, rooting an Android device is
similar to accessing administrative
permissions on Linux or any other
Unix-like operating system such as
FreeBSD or OS X .
Root access is sometimes
compared to jailbreaking devices
running the Apple iOS operating
system.

#### Benifits of Rooting ####

1. installing or booting into a
modified or entirely new operating
system (a "locked bootloader"
prevents this),
2. sideloading unsigned applications
onto the device, and
3. user-installed apps from having
root privileges (or from running
outside a secure sandboxed
environment).

By contrast, only a minority of Android
devices lock their bootloaders—and
many vendors such as HTC, Sony ,
Asus and Google explicitly provide
the ability to unlock devices, and
even replace the operating system
entirely.Similarly, the
ability to sideload apps is typically
permissible on Android devices
without root permissions. Thus,
primarily the third aspect of iOS
jailbreaking, relating to superuser
privileges, correlates to Android
rooting.

Rooting also lets all user-installed
applications run privileged
commands typically unavailable to
the devices in the stock
configuration. Rooting is required for
more advanced and potentially
dangerous operations including
modifying or deleting system files,
removing carrier- or manufacturer-
installed applications, and low-level
access to the hardware itself
(rebooting, controlling status lights,
or recalibrating touch inputs.) A
typical rooting installation also
installs the Superuser application,
which supervises applications that
are granted root or superuser rights.
A secondary operation, unlocking
the device's bootloader verification,
is required to remove or replace the
installed operating system. In
contrast to iOS jailbreaking, rooting
is not needed to run applications
distributed outside of the Google
Play Store, sometimes called
sideloading . The Android OS
supports this feature natively in two
ways: through the "Unknown
sources" option in the Settings
menu and through the Android
Debug Bridge. Rooting an
Android phone lets the owner
modify or delete the system files,
which in turn lets them perform
various tweaks and use apps that
require root access.

##### Demerits of Rooting ####

1. By rooting you will definitely void your warranty.

2. You may loose your Device  , if you didn't followed  right procedure .

Risk of  Loosing Your Beloved Android Device is Major Disadvantage of Rooting . but in only one case ... when you disobeys the guides given...

What is Jailbreaking Of an iOS Operating System ?

######### Jailbreaking of IOS #######

iOS jailbreaking is the process of
removing the limitations on Apple Inc.
devices running the iOS operating
system through the use of software
and hardware exploits; such devices include the iPhone , iPod touch , iPad and second-generation Apple TV.

#### What are Merits ?####

1) Jailbreaking permits root access to the
iOS operating system.
2) Allowing the download of additional applications, extensions, and themes that are
unavailable through the official Apple
App Store .
3) Warranty can be reclaimed upon restoring using iTunes .
4)  Run softwares that are not authosized by APPLE inc.
5)   Jailbreaking permits the downloading of
programs not approved by Apple,
6)  Can change the whole look and Feel of  Apple Devices.
7)  Use of handset on multiple
carriers
8)  You can install Android OS on Apple Devices.

#### What are Demerits ? ####

1) You will definitely void your warranty.
2)  May cause system damage if you used wrong methods . because in iOS it is case sensitive.

##### Some history ... ( I hate history ... :b) ####

The name refers to breaking the
device out of its "jail", which is a
technical term used in Unix-style
systems, for example in the term
"FreeBSD jail.

#### Jailbreaking" vs. "Android rooting ####

Jailbreaking devices running the Apple
iOS operating system is sometimes
compared to gaining root access on
Android devices. However, these are
distinct concepts. In the tightly-
controlled iOS world, technical
restrictions prevent installing or
booting into a modified or entirely new
operating system (a "locked
bootloader" prevents this), sideloading
unsigned applications onto the device
is also prevented, and user-installed
apps are restricted from having root
privileges. Bypassing all these
restrictions together constitute the
expansive term "jailbreaking" of Apple
devices. That is, jailbreaking entails
overcoming several types of iOS
security features simultaneously.
By contrast, Android devices may or
may not have locked bootloaders, with
many vendors such as HTC and
Google explicitly providing the user the
ability to unlock devices and even
replace the operating system entirely.
Similarly, the ability to
sideload apps is typically permissible
on Android devices without root
permissions. Thus, it is primarily the
third aspect of iOS jailbreaking relating
to superuser privileges that correlates
to Android rooting.

##### Types of jailbreaks ####

When a device is booting, it loads
Apple's own kernel initially. The device
must then be exploited and have the
kernel patched each time it is turned
on.
->  Untethered  , Teathered and Semi-Teathered Jailbreak :-

An "untethered" jailbreak has the
property that if the user turns the
device off and back on, the device will
start up completely, and the kernel will
be patched without the help of a
computer – in other words, it will be
jailbroken after each reboot.

However, with a "tethered" jailbreak, a
computer is needed to turn the device
on each time it is rebooted. If the
device starts back up on its own, it will
no longer have a patched kernel, and it
may get stuck in a partially started
state. By using a computer, the phone
is essentially "re-jailbroken" (using the
"boot tethered" feature of a
jailbreaking tool) each time it is turned
on.  This is often a major problem
for users on a tethered jailbreak. If the
device is not connected to a computer,
it is rendered useless until it is.
Devices that use tethered jailbreaks
can still respring and not lose the
jailbreak.
A device with a tethered jailbreak may
have a semi-tethered solution,
which means that when the device
boots, it will no longer have a patched
kernel (so it will not be able to run
modified code), but it will still be
usable for normal functions.  To
use any features that require running
modified code, the user must start the
device with the help of the jailbreaking
tool in order for it to start with a
patched kernel (jailbroken).
